How Assured Comfort Protects Against Coronavirus (COVID-19)

With COVID-19, there has been a lot of talk about air filtration and purification. You’ve probably seen video about airplanes, hospitals and nursing homes being cleaned and using HEPA air filtration. When we did the research, we found out that the most effective means for controlling COVID-19 in your home is ultraviolet lights as well as continuous fan operation.

We believe in duct cleaning and high efficiency air filtration.

Consider your ductwork as the lungs of your home. They breathe air into every room of your home. Just as you can wear a facemask to stop germs and contaminants from invading your lungs, the HEPA air purification system, or High Efficiency Particulate Air system cleans out and eliminates many of the unseen particles in the air that could affect your house.

We also offer the PureAir filtration systems along with UV-C lights. Each of these do different things. A PureAir system kills 90% of bacteria, mold, viruses and fungi circulating through three different methods.

The PureAir three step process:

1. The pleated filter captures particles and bio-aerosols like pollen and pet dander, removing them from the airstream.

2. As the odor- and chemical-filled airstream flows over the UV light, the airstream is exposed to the catalytic surface (titanium dioxide-coated mesh filter).

3. The light energy activates the catalyst, which generates hydroxyl radicals. These particles, which are more than twice as powerful as chlorine, break down the odors and chemicals into carbon dioxide and water.

UV-C lights at the end of the heating and air process to destroy microorganisms and prevents them from spreading throughout your home. The light protects you without releasing any ozone or other biproducts.
