DON’T LET CLOGS GET IN YOUR WAY

Sink drain

Your drain allows the water to carry waste out of your homes and into the sewer or septic tanks. However, a clog, no matter how small, can leaving you with the mess. Here’s a few hints to keep things flowing:

1. Never put grease or greasy food down the drain

Grease flows when it’s wet but it will dry and settle. Grease clogs grow over time. So easy on the butter, fatty meat trimmings, or creamy sauces.

2. Hairy situations

Hair is the cause of A LOT of clogs. It’s difficult to dislodge with a plunger alone. So catch all the hair with a fine mesh in your shower.

3. Fight the scum

If you have hard water, minerals in the water react with soap to form “soap scum.” A whole-home water softener eliminates the problem. Liquid soap is also better.

4. Spring clean your drain lines

If your drains start to slow, call us so we can clean your pipes. Easy!

5. Get to the root of the problem

Don’t wait until you have a problem! Copper Sulfate works on small roots, when they become big, knotted roots, you’ll need a plumber to come out.

Hopefully this will keep your pipes flowing. If you’re having a problem or want a free inspection or your pipe, contact us and we can help keep your drains clog free.
